ESPN's Marc Stein is reporting that the Pacers and Warriors have completed an eight-player deal that will send Troy Murphy, Mike Dunleavy, Ike Diogu and Keith McLeod to Indiana for Al Harrington, Stephen Jackson, Sarunas Jasikevicius and Josh Powell.
Uh oh, with Murphy on indiana now, expect even more pimping of him by pacer pride.

Dunleavy is definitely the key. I won't disagree with you there. I think it hurts Indiana in the immediate future, by trading 2 of their top 3 scorers away, but might help them in the future if Dunleavy ever reaches his potential, and Diogu becomes a good player.
BTW, I think this is the perfect time to bring up Elton Brand and Troy Murphy's stat lines this year:
Elton Brand: 55% FG, 75% FT, 3.3 OFF, 5.7 DEF, 2.3 Ast, 2.5 TO, 1 STL, 2 BLK, 20.1 Points
Troy Murphy: 45% FG, 71% FT, 1.4 OFF, 4.6 DEF, 2.3 Ast, 1.1 TO, 0.8 STL, 0.7 BLK, 8.9 Points
And there you have it, two of the most comparable players in the NBA according to Pacer Pride.

Warriors’ Gain Doesn’t Reflect Pacers’ Loss
May 4, 2007
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- It's hard not to cast a jealous eye towards Oakland, where the Warriors and their fans are enjoying a long-awaited, hard-earned love-fest. When a franchise that has averaged 28 victories in its previous 11 full seasons and hasn't been to the playoffs since 1994 suddenly becomes the talk of the postseason by pulling off a stunning upset of the purportedly mighty Dallas Mavericks, the fans are entitled to go a bit wacko.
It is warmly reminiscent of that magical 1993-94 season in Indianapolis, when Larry Brown's Pacers caught fire in the second half of the season and despite a modest 47-35 record pushed all the way to the Eastern Conference Finals, rallying the city behind the franchise and beginning a decade of prominence that would bring six trips to the conference finals and one to the NBA Finals.
Though the Warriors have certainly been helped by the midseason trade with the Pacers, do not be misled. Golden State's gain does not mean Indiana's loss. This is not a zero-sum game.
Truth be told, the Warriors benefited much more from the timely return to health, and form, of Baron Davis and Jason Richardson than the trade. Remember, they were 26-36 heading into the final 20 games but Davis returned from left knee surgery and the turnaround was immediate. Then Richardson, who missed a total of 31 games with knee and hand injuries, found his groove in the final 10 games. The Warriors went 16-4 in the final 20, and 9-1 in the final 10.
Without question, Stephen Jackson has been a major contributor. He also was ejected twice (sound familiar?) during the Dallas series – and fined heavily by Coach Don Nelson. Al Harrington, however, hasn't adapted well to being moved to center (sound familiar?) and has slipped to the fringe of the rotation. Sarunas Jasikevicius and Josh Powell rarely shed their warmups.
The fact is, the Pacers probably wouldn't have made the playoffs had they kept the roster intact. Donnie Walsh and Larry Bird accurately identified a dysfunctional team that was teetering on the brink of total collapse and acted to make a major change. If anything, the trade delayed the inevitable because it provided the new energy that led to the only real surge of the season in late January and early February.
This franchise is in the process of moving on, of putting the drama and trauma of the previous three seasons fully in the past. It will be neither instant nor easy, but it is absolutely necessary.
So go ahead and feel good for Jackson, Harrington and the Warriors.
But don't take that to mean you must somehow feel bad for, or about, the Pacers.
Better days are ahead, and the trade will hasten their arrival.

Dunleavy making this deal look decent now He's a whole different player out there this season. Murph...when healthy has not been that bad,but still something missing from those semi-dominant Warriors' days. Pacers leading the league in REBS. and 4th/5th in scoring. Exicting brand of ball...similar to some teams in the West.

Think before typing next time "bangwagoner" Hope you enjoyed B Diddy's two pts. other night,Nash could score more laying down by the bench like he does when he comes out of the game No arguing with you. Nash is better than Davis in most aspects of basketball. Im sure Nash has off games too tho. My bandwagon jumping is just by coincidence really. Started and has always been mainly with the pistons, this was way before the leagues even started. Moved to the bulls once they got Big Ben. The Bulls really arent even that good. Golden state is just a fun team to watch so i cheer for them in the west cuz most of my teams that i like are east teams. I liked the mets after they got Carlos Beltran, and thyre chokes now but they are still my favorite baseball team. Football was likely the biggest coincidence because i became a steeler fan at the beginning of their superbowl season, but if u look at my name on the football forum (which is nfl2005league) is The Steel and my username is pittsteelers. Usually i get bored of teams that win so i go for an underdog and that team is the lions, and sure u can argue i bandwagon jumped them cuz theyre probably gonna have the most wins theyve ever had in about 7 or 8 years. So basically to sum this up, it says... lick my balls pride.

TALKING,SERIAL KILLER CUT OUT LETTERS Well you should've liked the Flames in the first place, if I lived in Calgary it would be a no brainer. I'm kinda confused how you got to the Panthers, considering they are (literally) on the other side of the content. You can't read me No one can read my mind

The Pacers, Panthers, Cowboys, and Mariners were all very good teams in the mid-90s, if you want to see a trend for his favourite teams.

I switched from Pens to Panthers in my youth (Grade 7). Panthers have had glimpses of greatness, but far from great ever. I like Blue Jays as well..whole Selig thing I will not get into now.

It's easier just to stick to your hometown teams and never change... always a Leafs/Raps/Jays fan, and once an NFL team comes to Toronto (hopefully an expansion team instead of the Bills), the Colts will be a distant memory. Tougher the challenge, sweeter the reward I will never become a Flamer Fan and sorry if I do not live in the Centre of the Universe...my City is not star worthy enough to have all prof. sports clubs.
