Pacer Pride Coach:"First off folks, lets make this as brief as possible.I have a plane to catch; a really busy weekend ahead for our boys"
Reporter (#1) : "What is your assessment at the mid-way point of the season for your club sir?
Coach: "Well with the 52-48 start for my club I have to be pleased with the situation we have put ourselves in so far.It has been a total team effort all the way down to the util./bench guys.We are battling hard week in and week out and competing with the top clubs in this league to date.I can only hope us as a team continue on this path into the second half of the season and beyond. We cannot become complaisant as a unit, crunch time is just around the corner".
Reporter (#2) : "Who have been the keys to your club so far?
Coach: "Naming names I would say our G'S (Nash,Parker,Redd) have been the engines that has run this ship.Parker is playing spectacular All-Star calibre ball and we all hope he can keep that going;whatever your feeding him Eva don't stop".....
(*media room chuckles*)
cont... "J.O. had some injury/health issues but they are not a main concern at this point as he is and will always be a core leader on this club for us now and into the forseeable future".
Reporter (#3) : "Can you comment on the Artest deal that brought in some fresh blood on your club coach..."
Coach: "Well when a guy comes flat out and says he does not wish to play for you anymore that really irks me.Our leaders Nash and J.O. in the lockeroom felt the same.To give up raw talent like D.Howard who was a possible keeper to this club and give him up for a guy like Ron and then he blind sides you with news that he is not pleased with his touches in this offense!?!?! That just disgusted me.I spared no time at all ,made the move with Coach Kramerica and got solid investments back in Igoudala,Charlie V. who has been great as well as the pick increase which was key.I will have no further comments on this matter from here on out in regards to Ron and I wish him "all the best" when he actually returns to the court. When is he suppose to return by the way?
(*Coach gives a disgusted chuckle towards the reporter on the last comment then casually looks away*)
P.R. guy: "Last question please,Coach Pride is going to miss his plane otherwise"
Reporter (#4) : "How does it feel at this time with the success of the club thus far in relation to your struggles last season in Lakeshow's league and the amount of disrespect some would say you got as a coach there?
Coach: "Well first off with the J.O. suspension and then Shaq was not as advertised in my opinion that really hurt the club and we never really recovered.Nash was really the lone bright spot;heck! we won MVP he was great last year and continues to be for us.That team really never got off the ground but one thing that I will say is the effort was there every night and that made me proud as a coach. The lack of disrespect?Well that's still there;that Maze guy never gets off my back (*chuckles*) but I look at it as competition and nothing else.If they cannot take my winning ways now that is a problem the rest of this current league will have to deal with, not me.The only thing that bothered me after draft day this year was I can only keep 3 of these talented basketball players on this roster.Wow,what decisions I will have ahead of me but that is for me to worry about and for all of you to sit back and enjoy what unfolds.
Coach: " I thank you all for the time,I must go now".
