The Heat have reportedly agreed to trade Shawn Marion and Marcus Banks to the Raptors for Jermaine O'Neal and Jamario Moon. The deal is still pending league approval. Hopefully the change of scenery will provide a much-needed jolt to Marion's disappointing season. The move means Andrea Bargnani will likely return to being the Raptors starting center, while Michael Beasley could move into the Heat's starting five. Toronto is also sending a conditional draft pick to the Heat and getting cash considerations in return. --------------------------------------------------------------------------
well I like Moon on my side of the deal but O'Neal could be solid as well as long as he stays healthy the rest of the way but I kind of doubt it.

I wonder what The Heat will really go with in their new starting lineup? Beasley and his scoring or Moon and his defense? I know the Heat were shopping Beasley for awhile their because of his lack of defense which hurts them when he's off the bench. Moon should provide plenty of defense though.

I have not heard your side too much on this MaZe seeing as the Raps thread takes over most of the talk. Your inside thoughts on JO.?
It's funny how our teams have passed him around like sloppy seconds to each other, lol. Who's next, OC.'s fav team, the Lakers?

Jamario Moon will come off Miami's bench on Wednesday, according to coach Eric Spoelstra. James Jones will get the start at small forward. It sounds like it's only a matter of time before Moon is starting, meaning Michael Beasley's role may not change significantly in the wake of the trade for Jermaine O'Neal. Keep an eye on Moon, and feel free to stash him on your bench if you have an available spot.
Well I guess that answers my question. It seems Beasley still hasn't proven himself worthy of starting or else he would be until Moon is ready to move into the starting 5.

The only thing is J.O. isn't someone you can rely on to stay healthy long enough to make much difference really. If by some miracle he does stay healthy though then I think the Heat got just what they needed to compete in the East and make a real push at a title shot. Haslem will now be playing at his strongest position PF so that's good news for him as well.
