Here's My Draft Recap.. Couldn't get ahold of Big Fat....
[glow=red,2,300]Round 1[/glow]
Best Value Pick: SG/SF Vince Carter (Nets)
Worst Value Pick: PF/C Greg Oden (Pacer Pride)
Vince Carter was the steal of the draft IMO falling on the way down for Nets.. Coming into a contract year I fully expect this guy to play with some 'onions' and put up 23/6/5 again. At one point he was the most talented player in the NBA. If he wants to become elite status again, it will be on his shoulders. As for Oden, this was a no brainer. The guy would have been a early to middle 2nd round guy with not much upside on the offensive side and more injuries then Rich Harden. Good Luck with your adventure with Greg Oden Pride...
[glow=red,2,300]Round 2[/glow]
Best Value Pick: SG/SF Hedo Turkoglu (Fatkid)
Worst Value Pick: SF/PF Marvin Williams (Roscoe)
When I was drafting at the #8 OA I was even considering taking Hedo Turkoglu after the solid season he put up last season. Nothing much has changed in Orlando, still getting no respect for being an elite team in the East so I expect more of the same from Hedo this season. As for Marvin Williams, tick tick tick tick tick (as Cam would say) .... We are still waiting on this guy to breakout.. Can this be the year? Williams has an unbelievable talent but being taken in the 2nd round is a bit of a reach. Roscoe could have traded down in the middle of the 3rd to taken his boy..
[glow=red,2,300]Round 3[/glow]
Best Value Pick: SG/SF Tracy McGrady (Anchorman)
Worst Value Pick: PF/C Kevin Love (Chi-Town Ballers)
T-Mac will always be T-Mac. The guy can put up 25 points in his sleep and with the addition of Artest to the Rockets look for T-Mac to turn into an elite fantasy player again. The guy is almost as big an injury risk as Greg Oden though so watch out. Kevin Love here was the easiest pick in this situation. A lot of reaching on Bigs in this draft and taking Love this early was one of them. He can turn into a solid big man but could have been taken later in the draft.
[glow=red,2,300]Round 4[/glow]
Best Value Pick: SF/PF Al Thornton (Chi-Town Ballers)
Worst Value Pick: PF Zach Randolph (OC Lakers)
You gotta love Al Thornton.. The guy is going to be unreal for this Clipper team that could lead them to playoffs?? We shall see but look for Thornton getting heavy minutes throughout the season which will lead to success and a for sure keeper for Chi-Town.. You can't forget the G-Factor he possesses which turns him even more valuable. As for Big Fatty Zach, I remember the good old days when he was a keeper for my team putting up 24/10 with great percentages for the Blazers but times change when he headed to the Big Apple. You can't expect much out of anybody when playing for the Knicks.
[glow=red,2,300]Round 5[/glow]
Best Value Pick: PG Raymond Felton (Go Raps)
Worst Value Pick: PF/C Brook Lopez (The Maze)
Felton could break out into a mini Andre Miller IMO so I felt this was a good pick.. Nene was also a good pick in this situation but the value Felton potentially possesses makes him the best pick in the 6th round. Brook Lopez? C'MON MAN.. Lopez will be lucky to see more then 25 minutes a game which makes this not a very good pick.. This time next year and that pick is made by Maze it could be best value but not right now..
[glow=red,2,300]Round 6[/glow]
Best Value Pick: PG Rodney Stuckey (Roscoe)
Worst Value Pick: PF/C Andray Blatche (Kramerica's Ballers)
Stuckey is going to be a top 5 PG in the East for years to come. With tremendous size at 6'5 and speed to the basket I don't think any PG can cover him.. With the addition of AI to the Pistons its only a matter of time before Stuckey gets some serious minutes at PG.. I have no comment really for Blatche just more of a FA pickup guy..
[glow=red,2,300]Round 7[/glow]
Best Value Pick: SF/PF Tyrus Thomas (Nets)
Worst Value Pick: PF/C Roy Hibbert and PF/C Andrea Bargnani (Pacer Pride)
If Chuck says this guy is going to be something special I listen.. With Tyrus playing with the Bulls getting major minutes I look at him filling the box score with all the assets he presents as a fantasy player. We just got give him some time it looks like.. Roy Hibbert and Andrea Bargnani in the same round. C'MON MAN.. I thought it was a joke at first. Does Hibbert even play? and Andrea will always be Andrea. Even though the Raps success lies on the shoulders of him you can never expect anything out of the guy.. It will only lead to failure.
[glow=red,2,300]Round 8[/glow]
Best Value Pick: PF Yi Jianlin (OC Lakers)
Worst Value Pick: PG Jerryd Bayless (Anchorman)
MEH... this two are kinda garbage players but YI looks to be getting some minutes so hopefully that leads to some success for the Nets. Bayless should probably go to the D-League to get some minutes then become a starter next year.
[glow=red,2,300]Round 9[/glow]
Best Value Pick: C Ben Wallace (The Game)
Worst Value Pick: SG/SF Leon Powe (Pacer Pride)
If Ben Wallace can put up 10 boards and 2 blocks a game he will be a valuable asset at this point of the draft. Leon Powe explodes sometimes for like 20 points but other nights doesn't even hit the floor.
