Here are the rankings as I see them boys! Im accounting for keepers and draft picks. These could be disputed, but really why dispute perfection
Bringing up the toilet bowl.......
#12 Purple Hazeee
Top Keepers: Pau Gasol
Top Draftees: Blake Griffin, Rajon Rondo (when he plays)
One of the weaker set of keepers. Duncan is still solid and Gasol is above average, Jennings drains shooting stats and Gortat is an average middling center if drafted. Rest of the roster is mainly filler.
#11 Westbrook - Keeper
Top Keepers: Russell Westbrook, Lamarcus Aldridge, Nick Batum
Top Draftees: JaVale McGee, Victor Oladipo, Jimmy Butler
WK really almost sabotaged his staged last place coup. His keepers are actually decent and his draft while young has real time talent. Bottom of the draft was weaker and Noel may not even play but young talent may get him another spot higher.
#10 The Ders
Top Keepers: Chris Paul, Paul George, Al Jefferson, Ty Lawson
Top Draftees: Jeff Green, Kemba Walker
Ders really has a nice set of keepers that will keep his team from sinking completely. I think Walker and Green are nice pieces but not enough to drag the bottom of his roster up. Without any real big men, this team will have a hard time competing against most.
#9 WiscBadgers
Top Keepers: Kevin Durant, Kyrie Irving, Carmelo Anthony
Top Draftees: Nikola Vucevic, Andre Iguodala, Thadeus Young
Some of the better keepers you will find. Harris is a real medium risk, high reward guy who most likely will flourish but hasnt seen a whole season. His roster is littered with the trash and broken dreams of yesteryear. If his team stays out of the tub, they could be a force...not banking on it.
#8 Roadrunners
Top Keepers: Rudy Gay, David Lee
Top Draftees: Tony Parker, Chris Bosh, Spencer Hawes
Not a fan of Monta's overall game and unless he gets back to his GS days, he is a liability. Chandler is a very good center option but lacks parts of his game to make him elite. RRs had some success with some big name draftees early and got a steal with Hawes, but will it be enough?
#7 Butterfingers
Top Keepers: Dwight Howard, Klay Thompson
Top Draftees: Carlos Boozer, Eric Gordon, Harrison Barnes
Butterfingers could move up if his team stays healthy like most. Gordon and Boozer were solid pickups in the middle of the draft but carry huge injury risk. Barnes was a great value pick late but some of the complimentory pieces are meh.
#6 Fatkid
Top Keepers: Dirk Nowitzki, Brook Lopez, Mike Conley
Top Draftees: David West, Kevin Garnett, Ama're Stoudemire
Fatty has the all name team and some of the safest draft picks in the biz. Its concerning that some of his key pieces are either already hurt or major injury risks (Ilyasova, Stoudemire, Lopez). If Lin can take over PG duties he may have another top 10 PG but he still needs reliable NBA bigs and not glorified PFs playing in the middle.
#5 His Airness
Top Keepers: Marc Gasol, Derek Rose, Al Horford, Josh Smith
Top Draftees: Chandler Parsons, Enes Kanter, Raymond Felton
Airness has a very solid starting rotation that will make him a contender most nights. Parsons and Kanter are ready for stardom, Felton was a great value pick late. Getting Pierce was a solid addition. The only thing keeping Airness from Greatness is the bench.
#4 The OC Lakers
Top Keepers: James Harden, Stephen Curry, Kevin Love, Kobe Bryant
Top Draftees: Nickola Peckovic, Goran Dragic, Luol Deng, Dion Waiters
OC has a real nice set of keepers...if Kobe comes back quickly without any lingering issues. He lost a lot of talent in the offseason, but recovered fine enough with Peckovic, Dragic, Deng and Waiters. If some of his sleepers hit, he could be a force. If not, he will wade in mediocrity.
#3 The Squeeze
Top Keepers: Lebron James, Demarcus Cousins, Larry Sanders, Ricky Rubio
Top Draftees: Andre Drummond, Greg Monroe, Bradley Beal, Evan Turner
Squeeze had an abundance of keepers and chose the spaniard over Westbrook, time will tell if this one bears fruit. Lebron is a great equalizer of all and overall keepers are pretty formidable. One of the better drafts landing size all over. This team will go the way of Drummond and its bench and so far it looks real good.
#2 Team Baitbot
Top Keepers: John Wall, Paul Milsap, Roy Hibbert, Derek Favors
Top Draftees: Eric Bledsoe, Zach Randolph, OJ Mayo, Kyle Lowry, Deandre Jordan
Great keepers and a great high draft equal near perfection! Baitbot is balanced all over the court with size and guards. Mayo could be a real steal as the man in Milly, and Jordan so late is sickening! Baitbot has shooting stats and 3s locked up with Mayo, Reddick, Green, and Korver. His bench has some real pieces that should keep him in all cats.
#1 Pacer Pride
Top Keepers: Deron Williams, Anthony Davis, Damian Lillard, Kawi Leonard
Top Draftees: Dwayne Wade, Jonas Valanciuanus, Kenneth Faried, Gordon Hayward, Triston Thompson, Joe Johnson
A great set of keepers coupled with the best draft gets you a preseason ship. D Wade falling into pacers lap was unreal and he didnt let up there, snagging top tier talent in all rounds. Hayward and Thompson could be clutch all season, while MKG and Olynyk could be steals late. Getting D Williams lastly is only a testament to this teams depth.
There you are fellas, my take on the rankings after the draft. Enjoy.
